How to Change Camera & Microphone Permissions

When you join a Kismet call for the first time your browser should automatically ask you for microphone (audio) and camera (video) access. You at minimum need to accept microphone permissions to proceed with a call, but we encourage all users to accept both so that providers and participants can both see and hear one another.

Each browser's design and functionality differs slightly and is outside the control of Kismet, but typically if you decline permission twice in a row it will block further prompts from appearing. In this instance you must either clear your browser permissions entirely, or follow instructions for your browser (see below) to manually enable them.

Desktop: Google Chrome  |  Safari  |  Firefox

Android: Google Chrome

iPhone/iPad (iOS): Safari  | Google Chrome

This is an example of Google Chrome for Mac requesting microphone/video permissions.
This is Kismet's own dialog displaying information regarding microphone/video permissions. if you only see this dialog then you likely need to manually enable permissions in your browser.
