External Messaging

External messaging allows providers to securely communicate with third parties external to your organization using Kismet's HIPAA compliant messaging platform.

To get started click on the "New" or "New Message" button in the top right corner of the Messaging dashboard or Messaging panel.

This will bring up a dialog where you can enter the name of a user with an existing Kismet account, or the email of the person you want to connect. Users with an account registered to the entered email will be connected immediately, while those without an account will be sent an invite email to create a free guest account on Kismet.

Click the image icon to upload and share images, videos, or PDFs.

Invited contacts that don't already have a Kismet account will be invited to sign up for a guest account, after which they'll be able to view all messages and any uploaded files you've already sent to them. You can send text, images, videos, and PDFs as needed by clicking the image icon in the bottom right corner of any message thread.
